We Welcome New Members!

 NEXT MEETING:  June 7, 2023 - 6:30pm

Things are a bit different for this meeting!!!  We cannot use the Art Room and instead will be upstairs in the Wabash Gallery.  At the same time that the Lions Club will be meeting.  With just a curtain between our groups.  Not sure how that's going to work out for the two clubs, but it's what we have for this month!  Two notes: 1. We will watch basement doors as usual from 6:15 to 6:30 p.m.  2) There is an elevator to take upstairs with your wheels instead of carrying them up the stairs.

Business agenda / announcements:
Thank you to those who demonstrated Sat, June 3rd at The Farm at Prophetstown: Chloe C., Vilija D., Carolyn F., Sonja R.
  • Along with the usual animal fiber samples we have had for show & tell at demos, Diana has created a whole new set of luxury fiber samples. Almost all the old and new samples are now mounted on a display board and was up at Prophetstown. Both kids and adults found it interesting. Soooo many fibers that we can spin and wear!
  • We definitely had the best seat in the house on that very hot Saturday - in the barn, in the shade, with both huge doors open, there was a cooling breeze for the whole four hours we were there.
Any feedback from Fiber festivals in Crown Point or Hoosier Hills Fiber Festival?

June 25th (this month!): Event at The Farm at Prophetstown State Park on Sunday, June 25th from 1 to 3 p.m. (attendees time); volunteers need to arrive at 12:30 p.m. for set-up and "game plan."
  • Wool washed   (Thank you to Lori!)
  • Wool to be flicked (Still willing to help, Amanda, others? (It won't be a lot to do ...))

Show and Tell -- yarn from last month's 3-braid mash-up, other yarns or finished items to share!
